winter flashbacks 2, season 11/12

Here we go again. After the flashbacks last year here is version 2 of it. There's not much to say about it. Filmed by all of us, again - 100% GoPro HD (1). Probably for the last time that there are so many pole shots in it, I think everybody is tired of it now... hehe!
Enjoy!

Vincent Colliard

When filming with Léa for OYS I also got to know her boyfriend Vincent. Both were super friendly and very interesting characters. They just put a new website online where I found that little video of Vincent. It really inspired me.

Sleeping Giants

Did you ever wonder what's snowboarding like in China? Check this out, pretty inspiring stuff.

"The documentary focuses on the passion driven Chinese shredders and the key role of the Nanshan Open snowboard competition which has driven the young Chinese scene to become one of the most progressive out there."

Bravo blickinsfreie.de!

Snowboarding in January

This winterseason has been great so far! We had countless fun sessions on the mountains and it's like every day is a powderday this year! Here are a few analogue snaps, check out the whole set on my Flickr!
Cheers!

winter flashbacks, season 2010/11

I did edit a short little recap-clip of some last season shredding at home in Austria.
Fun times with my friends! There is a little bit more info on Vimeo.
Enjoy! :)

Update!!! Bubbles & Bones is online!!!

Lots of stuff happened lately so there was not really time to update this blog. I'm hanging in Saalbach/Hinterglemm right now (again). Work and shred at its best! :)
We finally did it. Our Creative Collective aka. Bubbles & Bones is online now!!! Check out our brandnew website: www.bubblesbones.com and let me know what you think!

We also set up a blog blog.bubblesbones.com. Be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed.
A few days ago we went to ISPO in Munich and had a great time. Met lots of nice people and made some new friends. We also got some really interesting connections... (more on this soon).
In addition to that I booked a flight to Morocco and gonna stay there for more than a month in March! Can't wait for that! I already know that this trip is going to be awesome!!!
Surf and work - a dream! :) I'll keep you guys posted!!!

Some snowboarding

At the beginning of this week some friends and I were shredding the "Aips-Playground". My homie Aips built his own little snowpark at his backyard. Check out some more pictures on myFlickr. The action shots are blurred as hell due to the slow 1/160sec x-sync time of the GH-1... but whatever! This was also fun as hell ;) But there are more pics coming soon because Aips and I did more shots on his Nikon D1X. I just wanted to try out the GH-1 with the wider lens and his flash-system. So watch out for more shots (including railshots :))!!!

Saalbach Session #1

Wohooou!!! I´m still alive ;) The last two weeks some friends and me were hanging out in Saalbach/Hinterglemm at a friends place. Thank you Larry S. This was very nice!!! We got lot's of fun powderruns, good food/lodging and we also started working seriously on our creative collective! More coming soon! All I can tell you by now is that some talented friends will follow their dreams :) And this looks goooooood!!!

Check out these snapshops taken with my cheesy mobilephone. We were hiking to the top of spieleck and got rewarded with a sick powderrun!

Tomy and me up there!

Lives Of The Artists

The guys from Relentless did it again. After "Powers Of Three" they put "Lives Of The Artists" online. It´s a diverse documentary about people driven by the love for what they do. You just have to watch this! The Gallows part impressed me the most. Such a passionate, honest band! Talking about cinematography there is some of the best underwater footage I've ever seen in there... Bravo Mickey Smith!

The Baisc

Saw "The B" last night. Pretty impressive riding and cinematography!
Mr. Kremer did an amazing job...

Pretty nice stuff! Makes me wanna go out on the mountain now!!!

Check out his blog as well!

So true...

Deeper

Love the approach!

“I wanted to get back to solitude, adventure, and new descents,” Jeremy Jones said. “By hiking past boundaries set in place by helis and snowmobiles we were able to get into bigger mountains, away from people and back to first descents.

GoPro HD - Yeah!

WOha! I just saw that they gonna ship the GoPro HD at the end of this month. That´s it what I was waiting for! I was always thinking about buying this cam, but never did because of the low resolution... but now it´s HD. Nice! It even does 60fps at 720P!!! (all for just 270$) Good in conjunction with my GH1. I really wanna do more movie projects in future...

Check out the GoPro Gallery for some movies. I recommend watching the Surf Movie :)

Alright, enough GoPro madness. Other 'news' are that I started working on my little Panama movie. I just logged and transfered all the footage to behonest but I´m busy at work right now and the next weeks so I´m able to work on my stuff just on weekends. And then there is a thing called life ;) But I´m motivated to finish this little flick soon so I can start with new projects. There are lots of ideas in my mind. Can´t wait to try everything out... And we have already some snow here in Austria, so let´s shred soon!!!
