Sony did it!
As mentioned in a preview post Sony released three new cameras today. The Sony A77, NEX-7 & VG20. Click here for all the links to previews, videos, specs and so on...
That's the "next level" for video in "DSLRs/SLTs/Mirrorless" cameras! Canon and Nikon are still sleeping... I'm sure Sony will put this into a fullframe camera in 2012. Exciting times :)

Смертельно и невероятно красиво
A random found I was very much inspired by! Google translates the title into "Deadly and incredibly beautiful" - I agree :)

Sony NEX7 & A77
It's been a while since I posted some tech news but these are hot so I couldn't resist :)
On the 24th of August Sony is about to reveal some exciting new products. The e-mount Sony NEX7 and the a-mount Sony A77 plus some lenses. There is a lot of buzz going on on the internet so I don't want to be too repetitive. Check the links at the end of this post for more information.
Key (video) features among others are:
- AVCHD 2.0
- full HD 1080p at 60/50/25/24p
- full manual control
- 50-16000 ISO
- New 3-way tilting LCD
- three million dot OLED VF
- 1/8000 shutter speed
- 19 point AF system with 11 cross sensors
- 12 FPS (Photo)
- 24 Megapixel sensor
- APS-C
This is the first time Sony is bringing that to the filmmakers. People (on internet discussions) expect image quality across the NEX7 & A77 will be very similar with the FS100 & F3. That would be amazing...
And all this for 1800 Euros (with a 16-50 f2.8 lens included)? I'll believe it when I see it. Maybe it's time to let my trusty hacked GH-1 go... :)
Let's see what the Panasonic GH-3 is coming up with. There are rumors that it will have a global shutter... exciting times :)

Back from Norway
Hi there!
We are back since two days. This was a great road trip! It's sad that we didn't had more time to travel around, there is so much to see & do. Three weeks were just not enough. We drove over 7000km. It's a little bit sad too that we both became sick on the trip, so I couldn't do every hike I wanted and went surfing just once - but whatever, that's the way it is. I got antibiotics and a morphine cough syrup and survived ;) Norway is one of the most beautiful countries I've been to, that's for sure! I will come back!
Lot's of work to do now... First pictures coming soon on my Flickr.
Autumn will be a busy time too - lots of traveling and filming on the ASP Tour for Surf Chronicles. More infos about that soon!
Cheers!
