Surfing legends Chris and Keith Malloy have spent years travelling around the world looking for the best undiscovered surfing spots. From Antarctica to Iceland, and from Galapagos to New Caledonia, no matter how remote the place was, plastic was already there.

Plastic Bag
This short film by American director Ramin Bahrani (Goodbye Solo) traces the epic, existential journey of a plastic bag (voiced by Werner Herzog) searching for its lost maker, the woman who took it home from the store and eventually discarded it. Along the way, it encounters strange creatures, experiences love in the sky, grieves the loss of its beloved maker, and tries to grasp its purpose in the world.
In the end, the wayward plastic bag wafts its way to the ocean, into the tides, and out into the Pacific Ocean trash vortex — a promised nirvana where it will settle among its own kind and gradually let the memories of its maker slip away.

No Context
What a great reel from the Impactist. 75 seconds of design, edited nicely to a great track. I really dig their style. Amazingly talented couple.

Pete McDonald
I just read on Phibs blog that Pete left Buck NY lately... I wish you all the best back in New Zealand man! Check out his amazing portfolio! So much talent there!!!
Although I was working for a very short time at Buck NY sometimes it feels like it was yesterday. I'm sure that's because of the nice people there. You are part of the family as of day one! Very good times... :)
Pete rockin.

Since 2008 I'm waiting for this one:
...by Allan Weisbecker; "Never drive away from good surf."
Still don't know what to expect. Love his books btw.

First Morocco Photographs
Alright the first photos of our trip are hitting the web. Andy just reactivated his flickr account with some nice analog stuff! Check out the Morocco set! Love the style! I should switch back to analog more often... and I will :)
I also started uploading the first photos on my flickr from our first days in Marrakech. Much more coming in the next days...
Just in case you wonder why our collective website bubbles-bones.com didn't work for the last weeks we have to apologize about that. When we were leaving we had some troubles with our provider. Bad experience. We already switched to another one and the site should be back up soon. In the meantime two of us moved to London as well. Good Luck up there Andy & Tom!
EDIT 21.04.2010:
The collective website is working now: bubblesbones.com
Pictures stolen from Andys Flickr:

Salem Aleikum!
I'm back from a over four-week travel through Morocco. This was an awesome experience. Lots of things happend. We had not the best luck with the waves but nevertheless got some great shots. Now loads of work is waiting for me. I'll put pictures on Flickr asap and start working on the movie postproduction soon. I'll keep you guys posted... This movie is going to be SICK!!!
Later!
Check out my first GoPro shots (video screengrabs) ever. This test was done in the very south (Westsahara). We surfed a spot inbetween two military bases. The locals told us later that nobody ever surfed here before...
